“I have a bone to pick with you,” Meryl Streep said to the Bagger. That sound you don’t hear is our heart stopping just a little.
“I don’t know if this is true,” Ms. Streep continued, when we met her on Saturday afternoon at a tea sponsored by BAFTA, the British film and television organization. “Somebody told me that you were instigating a Glenn Close-and-me rivalry.”
What? Hahahaha, we would never do such a – well, maybe just a little. Once or twice.
“On behalf of Glenn Close and me, who are often mistaken for each other, there should be no illusions,” Ms. Streep said. “I adore her, and I adore her film.”
